The Eco Crew Festival

Within this brief I was asked to take inspiration from The Living Rainforest Centre in Thatcham, in which I visited as part of this project. To create my own sustainable festival and advertisement campaign for this event. I decided to name my festival “The Eco Crew” as it sounds professional and memorable. I also created a logo for my organisation, and nine promotional designs to be used on various social media platforms including instagram and facebook.

Furthermore, I wanted these designs to capture the attention of Climate Conscious people, through eye-catching and unique design concepts. My festival would have been sustainable in many different ways, some of which include: locally sourced food, numerous recycling stations, renewable energy sources, digital tickets, and access to public transport to and from the event.

Once I had received and fully digested this brief, I went on to carry out the necessary research within the areas of sustainability and climate change. I then immersed myself within many different advertisement and social media design examples, looking into various sustainable festival’s being held around the world, and distinctive environmental artists. I also created various mood-boards, mind-maps, and thumbnail sketches. I then began to develop my logo and promotional design ideas.
